Startups come from the combination of people and ideas. KWiiD makes no exception.
The trigger was the fact that secondary packaging are single use. They generate waste and require a lot of energy to be recycled. That was enough to start working on the topic. The goal was to create a reusable box that would be so easy to use that everyone would adopt it.
Loïc started with carton scraps and a swiss knife in his living room in Oberägeri, Switzerland. He created boxes that can fold to the size of a letter for easy storage and return.
Leveraging feedback from packaging experts and potential customers, he iterated several times until he found, in January 2023, a solution that automates the opening and locks the box in an open position.
The invented system offered an instant opening process while ensuring content protection. The first KWiiD box was born and the company incorporated a few weeks later.

Today, in collaboration with European suppliers selected for their expertise and ecology, we produce our innovative boxes in various sizes that are also customizable answering the needs of the clients.
